Hello! I'm Nengi
I'm here to help you with your writing projects!
I am a lover of books and words! I loved to read as a child and a teacher even told me once to become a lawyer. But I was not one to argue.

Fast forward to a middle school book fair in 2011, my mother encouraged me to get as many books as I wanted and she did so for me each year. I l cultivated a reading hobby and writing too!
​
I started my undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo in 2016, where I majored in Geography and Environmental Management and minored in Peace and Conflict Studies. I wrote so many different research papers and completed a final -year thesis in Indigenous environmental Justice. In 2019, I had the opportunity to intern as a writer for an environmental magazine called Alternatives Journal. An experience that allowed me share the things I was learning in school with the world!

Thanks to that experience, I broke into the marketing world after graduation. There, I worked on writing projects for many different clients writing blogs, social media, website and email copy. I also started volunteering with a local cancer organization in the Waterloo region. Even today, I am still apart of their volunteer team writing grant applications to help them secure funding for their programs each year.
​
I went back to school in 2023 and got a graduate degree. I knew that I wanted to keep writing, so here I am today putting myself out in the world so I can do just that.
