To Brenda Royer, tea is not just a drink but a lifestyle. Her passion for tea and its health benefits led her to launch her tea and lifestyle brand in 2016. Since the impact of COVID-19, the number of customers visiting her warm and inviting store has narrowed. With the help of a Digital Transformation team, Brenda was able to rebrand her company, Lifestyles for Life, and reach more customers online.

The team started by creating a digital transformation plan and having the initial consultation. The main goals they had for the business were to help the business rank higher on google, create an effective social media strategy and create a sophisticated website to encourage online sales.

In the first week, the team started by conducting keyword research. This was done to understand how people were searching for tea related products on the internet. They developed a social media branding kit. This included an updated logo, website themes, social media post templates and a content calendar. Into the second week, the team held more meetings with the client and presented an action plan. In this period, Lifestyles for Life’s instagram and Facebook accounts were refreshed and announced to its followers.

A great deal of time was allocated to creating the website. The team created a website mockup. This included product information, connecting a domain, connecting a stripe account for accepting online payments and setting up curbside pick up. There were some challenges regarding creating a new website for the client. First, our team hadn’t worked with a Wix website before, so we had to get familiar with that platform. Next, any website creator has limitations such as not being responsive. We had to design the website so that people with different devices could interact with it, as well as editing the mobile view separately. As the last point, working on the smallest details with the limited time we had was challenging. With constant feedback from Brenda, the team was able to produce the final results for the website and instagram account.

The final week was designated for making revisions. During this time, page titles and meta descriptions were updated on the website, improvements were made to the mobile view of the website and social media templates and captions were prepared for the client.

The team organized a kit the business can use moving forward. This includes:

  • a canva and pinterest account so Brenda can always create more social media posts with the templates organized for her.

  • A social media content calendar, captions and an account on ‘Later’ for scheduling

  • New facebook banner

  • Branding kit

  • A guide book on how to make changes and updates on her wix website
